With a career spanning four decades, Michael’s artful and atmospheric imagery occupies that rare position of being sought after in both the commercial and fine art sectors.
His interests and influences are wide and varied, and to this end his subjects vary greatly in terms of scale and location, but essentially Michael's work explores the rhythms and patterns of the natural world. This can involve contemplating time and tide at the extremities of the British Isles or examining the intimate detail of delicate still-life in the studio.
Michael has been a recipient of the Observer Outdoor Photographer of the Year and featured twice in the Sunday Times Landscape Photographer of the Year.
His limited edition prints are collected and sold worldwide.
He has been invited to exhibit at the European Centre for Art and Culture in Venice this summer.
