We are looking for an OperationsManager to lead the operations of Tagsmart and ArtSnap.
We are about to launch a marketplace for collectors (www.artsnap.co) and this new role is critical to our future growth and success. We’re looking for a candidate who can streamline our operation and ensure our collectors, artist and galleries love the service they get and keep coming back.
The role will report into our newly appointed Head of Business Development but as we’re a small company, you will also work closely with the product team and Managing Director. We hope that the successful candidate will eventually build out an operations team.
About Tagsmart & ArtSnap:
We’re growing the art market by building technologies that help artists, galleries and collectors trade verified art. We launched in 2016 and have since created a suite of products for the art world: we issue conservator-approved DNA tags for almost all types of artworks, we have highly secure Certificates of Authenticity and Statements of Provenance and our online platform is a free digital cataloging service that triple-locks artwork provenance records when used alongside our physical products.
In 2019 we are launching ArtSnap, a curated marketplace that will allow people to trade verified artworks with one another, creating a community for collectors who want to buy and sell art in a new way.
Although we’re a young company, we were the only business to be highlighted in the latest Deloitte Art Report as offering this level of provenance recording technologies. We already have 30,000 artworks on our platform attributed to over 800 artists and we’ve tagged and certificated more than 11,000 works. More than 500 artists have registered to use our system, which launched in September 2018. We work with clients including Denis O’Regan and the David Bowie Estate, Bambi, Idris Khan, Gary Hume, Marc Quinn, Art Republic and Own Art.
Overseeing the operation of our new collector-to-collector marketplace and be the champion of our artists and collectors: establish best practices to ensure that all orders are processed to the highest standard of customer service
Manage the production and order fulfilment of Tagsmart’s DNA tags and certificates – this includes some hands-on production of our products.
Proactively research, propose and implement solutions to improve operations and customer service procedures
Establish and maintain close working relationship with suppliers and service providers (i.e. printers, shippers and framers)
Liaise with product and business development teams to propose improvements to products and services
Define and report on operations KPIs and OKRs

Highly organised - with a creative streak!
Experience in the art market in an operations or art handling role.
Customer service experience.
Marketing and/or PR experience or exposure.
Pay & benefits:
Base salary £24k-£27k, dependent on experience.
